Edric [Resistant Omegas 3] By Joyee Flynn

Edric [Resistant Omegas 3] By Joyee Flynn is the third book in Joyee Flynn’s Resistant Omegas series. The first two books are Tristan and Carson.

I like reading Joyee Flynn in general because her books are fun and filled with sex. They generally aren’t overly angst filled. The Resistant Omegas books, including Edric have a bit more angst than average for her work.

I love this series. It has totally captured my imagination. It’s got hot ménage m/m/m/m sex, an element of not having a choice, falling in love, and werewolves.

It also shows how little guys can still be strong.

Spoiler alert: my favorite scene is when Edric is treated wrong by his new inner circle he just gets in his car and leaves. He isn’t taking it from them. He leaves and even does things to give misdirection about where he is going. Very nice!

Ms Flynn definitely left hooks in place for many future stories about other Omegas. I can hardly wait!

I have a dream. I dream that someday I convince Joyee Flynn to let me write and publish a story in this universe. I have the story all figured out. I just don’t know how to ask her and have her take me seriously. Any suggestions?

Fan Art for A Chosen Mate

For those of you familiar with fanfiction.net, have you ever read LPBekka’s story Haute Couture. I really enjoyed this Glee, Klaine AU story.

I wasn’t alone. After a while people started posting fan art for the story. I always wondered what it would be like to write a story that inspired others to create. It sounded so amazing to be able to impact people like that. I especially remember this one post that LPBekka said should could imagine as the cover, if this story was a book. Check it out.

My awesome beta The Shameless Bookworm honored me by letting me have the experience. She has drawn some pictures of Spencer and Hotch in wolf form for my story A Chosen Mate, a Criminal Minds Hotch/Reid AU story. Thank you so much Shameless!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this art as much as I did.

Glee Presents: West Side Story

Hey, any Glee fans out there? How about Glee Producers? Okay, maybe I am dreaming, but just in case, I have a suggestion.

I think the folks who make Glee should go ahead and legitimately make West Side Story, the actual musical. They already have a bunch of the choreography done. (Heck they can probably just use the footage.) They have teased us with glimpses of what could be and it could be amazing!

So film the rest. Let Darren Criss and Lea Michelle really do it. It could be a TV special, direct to DVD, or a theatrical release. I really don’t care. I just know I want to see it!

In addition to it just being plain awesome. I think this would further the Glee “mission” of promoting the arts. How many kids really get exposure to great musicals.

So, if someone is tracking, I cast my vote that they make a movie of West Side Story. Any one agree?

Sugar Free Cotton Candy

In case I haven’t mentioned it. I am diabetic. I was diagnosed relatively recently although I knew I was heading this way. I have had to give up a lot of foods or at least severely curtail the amount I consumed of them.

The changes I have had to make, haven’t been so bad. I tend to follow a diet called Sugar Busters that has helped a lot. Also, there are new medications that help before it comes to insulin. I take a medicine called metformin. But enough about me.

I thought I had given up cotton candy forever. I like it but I can live without it. (Unlike cake which I need to have occasionally.)

Then I saw a Cotton Candy Maker on Amazon.com that advertised that it worked with Sugar Free Candy. I was stunned. Cotton Candy is basically sugar. What was left without the sugar?

My hubby loves Cotton Candy and is a geek who loves gadgets so I got it for him for Christmas. Much to my surprise, it’s awesome!

I got some sugar free butterscotch candies and we had butterscotch flavored Cotton Candy. Yum.

Now I know, I can’t eat too much of it even though it is sugar free. That will lead to other issues. But it sure was nice to be able to indulge a little.

Muscling Through By J L Merrow

Muscling Through By J L Merrow is told from the point of view of one of the main characters Alan Fletcher. But you can just call him Al. Al is a sweet guy but not the most intelligent. I really loved him. He knew he wasn’t smart. When he and Larry get together Al is confused by what Larry, a college professor, could possibly see in him.

Larry hangs around with a lot of pretentious intellectuals. People who think they are better because they are smart. But they are also disingenuous. Al is just the opposite. He is straightforward, honest, and kind.

Sure, things go over his head in ways that made me as the reader smile. (And feel a little guilty that I was.) But that didn’t matter to Larry. I hang out with geeks, with smart people. I sometimes forget that smart doesn’t equal good. Al was good. We could all learn a bit from Larry about judging people based on who they are and not what they know.

Oh yeah and there was hot sex, always a plus.
